This is a rural, small town school that employs some of the best teachers to be found! My developmentally delayed son, age 6, is mainstreamed in a first grade class, and with appropriate support and accommodations, he is excelling in all subjects. His teachers recognize his intelligence & don't let his 'label' hinder their determination that he can and will achieve educational success. He has been in other local schools that abused him, restrained him, ridiculed him, and ignored his medically diagnosed issues that made it impossible to respond like a 'normal' child. Anthony Elementary is an absolute blessing in our lives and in the life of our son. The teachers at Anthony go above and beyond to help ALL STUDENTS become 'the best they can be!'

I am unfortunately having to take my son out of Anthony. We are moving to Ft.Myers.I am hoping we will be back before he gets out of elementary.I like Anthony because it is a small school so it is easier to get to know people.I am looking at the population of the schools down there compared to Anthony and I am going to miss it.My sons kindergarten teacher,Ms.Gilby was great! We are going to miss her.I feel there should be more involvement with the parents. It seemed only a select few participated in the PTO.Since my son was only in kindergarten I cannot comment on the after school programs.I feel the academics was awesome!I also hope I can utilize the library at the new school for AR.I am gonna miss you!
