I am an alumni of SPASH and I have nothing but good things to say about the school. The school has a great variety of courses to take, including more AP classes than any other schools in the area. I was fortunate enough to take 9 AP classes during my three years there and passed all of my tests because of the quality of the teachers there. SPASH is the largest senior high school in the state, but that doesn't mean classes are large. I was never in a class of over 30 other than band or gym and in fact some of my classes had less than 15 people in them. Bottom line is there are outstanding teachers in each of the departments, and people know who they are if they're looking to take those classes. I'm a college junior who left SPASH with nearly 50 AP credits.
although i think the schools academics are good, i think the school put too much empasis on sports, and it lacks parent/school communictaion. When A child that is harrassed is asked to fill out a form. the school never calls the parents of the harrassed child to inform them what is going on. They need to make some major changes and before someone is hurt.

SPASH has excellent academics, extracurriculars, and athletics. It's a very well-rounded school. High academic achieving students find this school particularly excellent. SPASH offers advanced and AP courses for college prep and I've heard from many students that many of their high school courses were more difficult than their college ones. SPASH also has routes for a student who prefers a more practical schooling with a vast number of technology, art, and shop classes. It's a perfect fit for any student.

The academics at SPASH are amazing. Many of the students preform really well and a large number attend the University of Wisconsin- Madison, one of the best public universities in the country. Parents are kept well informed and the extra-curriculars are outstanding! Not to mention the athletics SPASH offers, which almost always win conference in nearly all their sports. The large number of students helps the school, instead of hurting it. Classes are kept to under 25 students, and students get plenty of personal attention from the teachers. SPASH is definitely the best choice of any school in the area, I highly recommend it!
