The only complaint I have about SCGSAH is that it is impossible to explain just how incredible my time there truly was to an uninformed outsider. It s not a place for the faint of heart that tiny space populated by talented, driven people was quite the pressure cooker at times. But it was also extremely supportive, to the spirit and the artistic prowess. I would recommend it to anyone willing to change for the better in every way possible and to learn what it really means to devote oneself. The teachers are the absolute best in their fields. My entire outlook on learning has changed, and I know I m not alone in that. Exposure to alternative texts and media is a big part of Governor s School life, and a big part of just why those two(-four) years are so valuable.
A great public school that is so small that it might as well be a perfect private school. Terrific environment. Uncomfy beds. A life-changing experience.
