The school lacks good education and the principal is horrible. She takes everything to the extreme and loves to punish the kids for every tiny thing. She need to be REPLACED!!! The staff and the principal aren't on the same page either. The school work is below average and if your child doesn't want to do it they just then consider them special ed and don't help them. Beware before you bring your kid here!!

The activities are not affordable here, not like eastern washington or any other normal place for that matter.

I am very impressed with South Whidbey Primary School. My daughter had Mrs. Mack in kindergarden and has Mrs. Hartnett this year. Both teachers have been fatastic. My daughter is learning so much and loving it!

We withdrew my daughter from South Whidbey schools at the end of first grade. Reasons for doing so included a lack of appropriate education and the destructive social atmosphere of the school. My child was put into the highest reading group in her class, but the material did not challenge the children in this group and no effort was made to correct the situation. In addition, the teacher said that my child could not add or subtract; however my child seemed to have no problem with this at home with her allowance or at the grocery store. She was simply bored and repeated requests went unaddressed. In addition, the social atmosphere was somewhat brutal and teachers seemed to pay no attention to the problems or the social cost to the children. For example, a stolen item is hurtful to a six year old; the teachers didn't care. Don't send your child here.
