Washington Middle is a very good school academically. The teachers are very helpful and some of them stay after school to help the students up to 6 at night. The staff is very commited to the students' learning. However, the students there are the problem. Washington can be a violent school if you get into the wrong situations

I love this school very much! It has great teachers but also is a little hard on the all the kids but they do it for a reason! They are hard on eighth graders because they want them to become great high school students, and they want us six graders to become good students for middle school and they get the six and seventh graders readdy to take on the rest of middle school happy and eager to stay hear at washington! i could not have a better middle school!

We were worried about our daughter attending Washington before the school year began, those worries proved to be unfounded. The 6th Grade teachers are creative, hard working, dedicated, and really do strive to reach each child. I am shocked at how early the teachers arrive and how late in the day they remain! They are there for the kids as well as to prepare for the day ahead. I really like kids are welcomed onto the campus and the also have the Girls & Boys Club available. The downside is the school does not have adequate numbers of textbooks for all students but that falls on the DOE's shoulders, not Washington Middle School. The staff utilizes what they have and strives to supplement the best they can. Our daughter feels safe and cared about. This is a very good school if you stay involved with your child and teachers.

I feel it could be better. There are way too many students, and everyone there is not on the same page because of it. I feel that some of the councelors and teachers really care, and are wonderful, but others are goofy and only there for ther pay check. Our children are getting the brunt of it because some of us cannot afford to put our kids in private schools.
