Simply the best option available in Southern Maryland! We would not think of sending our son anyplace else. The teachers and staff put educating and letting our son figure things out first. Everything else follows...as it should be. Going to The Beddow School is the last thing our talks about before going to bed and the first thing he asks about in the morning. He actually gets upset when holiday breaks come up on the calendar.
It's unfortunate that a few disgruntled, underachievers are able to find the time to write a negative school review on a web site, but are not able able to do their homework. The Beddow School is a high quality, college preparatory school, with a very challenging curriculum. The teachers, do, in fact, make time to help students when students ask for it. If they don't ask, they don't get help. My child has been a student a Beddow since the elementary Montessori program and I feel that students at Beddow are EXTREMELY prepared for college and the teachers are more than accomodating. Yes, the principal may be a little gruff at times, but the student usually needs a push! I am thankful for a quality, college prep school, with a great staff and great students. Just look at the alternatives in our area!
The smartest decision we made for our child's education was to enroll him at Beddow School. The Montessori program is excellent and the staff well qualified and caring. We are looking forward to the Jr. / Sr High School program!
