I believe wholeheartedly that Stocking Elementary is a great school with committed and involved parents and the staff who truly care about their students. There are great programs for the children that let the interact with eachother on many levels and help them with their academics. As a parent of a Kindergartener there I see it everyday!
This school is AMAZING!!!!!!!!! They have wonderful teachers that care and that are doing their jobs unlike others in GRPS. I would recommend this school for anyone.
I have had my student at couple other schools in the Grand Rapids District and have been here now for a year. I feel that the teachers here really truely care about my son. They don't talk down to me just because I'm a parent and I may not be as educated. They work with me and my son to bring him to a higher level of learning. The teachers work together across grade levels to make sure that they all have the same goal in mind. I'm am really glad my son is at Stocking and I am going to do my best to make sure he finishes grade school here.
