I went here for 3 years, and was recently taken out. It is the best school ever, and I miss it. I love all the teachers there, and all the students. There are no bullies, and I love it.
great school with a lot of really great teachers that work together to give you and your chil the best education ever!
If your child has a hard time within the large high school setting; this is the place to go. My high school student has been attending CORE for the past 2 years. This is where you can find a quality, catered-to-your child's-learning-style education. As a mother bear, I believe this is the best place in Chico for individual learning in a small group setting. The larger public school system does not support a child if his or her learning style is different from mainstream. I believe if a parent looks hard enough, within this school, a quality teacher for your child will surface. I think the IEP program could be stronger. The admin support is excellent, student support is great with the overall school environment focused on academic success. I have seen my student grow thanks to the efforts of CORE.
My son is in the 10th grade at CORE & he has an IEP & has tutoring to help him. they go beyond helping. They adjust the books for his reading level. The special Ed teacher goes all out to help him. Where in public schools he did not get the help he needed.
