My child is in 9th grade and has wonderful teachers. I am concerned about the lack of leadership in the school.
I have one Junior and one Freshman at Aiea High School. This is an excellent school in every respect. The teachers are all highly qualified and very engaged with the students. All in all, I have nothing but positive remarks for this excellent school.
Two of my five children have attended and graduated from Aiea High School. The rumors about this school being unsafe and 'bad' are untrue. The ethnicity of this school did not influence them negatively whatsoever. If anything, they made many friends. My fifth child is now a junior and is active in the sports program and enjoys the school very much. She attended affluent elementary and middle schools, but has the best of friends at Aiea. There are caring teachers and counselors at the school. They assisted in the selection and admittance to college for my child who has just graduated from U.H. Manoa. I commend the staff and faculty!
