They've got the best faculty ever. This school is more than school it's more like one big family. Everyone get along and you feel so comfortable. BFMS is the best school ever especially in Teaneck, NJ Bergen County

Bf is an good school that promotes school togetherness with many entertainment occasions involving the whole school. Bf has an amazing music program. Many kids get from bf get into regionals, all state as well as other higher classes. Bf has a weak english program that does not teach proper grammer and barely enriches the student skills.

BF is a good school but its reputation as a model of social emotional teaching and learning is overstated. The previous principal was a well-liked, caring and competent educator but the culture still allowed wide-spred bullying to occur. There was a culture of silence in the school and, while the school would intervene when an incident was reported, they did not do enough to prevent bullying. Therefore, a lot of bullying existed but was not seen.

I was a student at BF. The academics are fine, but there usually is only one track, with little enrichment. The art and music program is outstanding. Students are required to take both for at least two years. There is not much in terms of school run sports, but the town has plenty of middle-school sports. There are a few other extracurricular activities, but many of the so-called 'clubs' don't exist. There is some parent involvement. The school keeps parents well informed. Personally, I did not enjoy my time at BFMS. The administration presents the school as a caring community, but I found none of that. The teachers sometimes become overwhelmed with the students, and the administration is woefully inept at dealing with major problems. They are too concerned with their image. I personally had many social problems that no one was concerned with. A more mainstreem student might have faired better.
