My daughter attended two years in Greenwich Kokusai Gakuen, and she really mastered both Japanese and English. When she moved on to local public school and sat at the interview, she was told that she need not take ESL. She could enter mainstream right away. As Japanese parents, it was realy surprise that she could reach that level. I highly recommend this school if you want to raise a child to become bilingual.
