Most people would say this school is one of the best and safest, as a student, I know otherwise. People are bullied daily, it is absolutely uncalled for. the school is vvery diverse in its student body, and as such, when someone sees something they aren't used to and don't like, they usually have a nasty comment to give about it, usually involving some cursing and unneeded gestures. the school lunches are terrible, no offense to the people in the lunch room, but money is put into giving pay raises to everyone else when it could be used for materials and betterment of lunches and such. The board has lost all sense of reality and are using money unwisely on things that shouldn't be paid for in the first place. The school could use some work.

Our school isn't perfect but even with all the constant change in leadership over the last several years our test scores have remained at or above RESA in many areas. If I have any concern it would be the apathy toward school and towards taking pride in what you are doing that I see from more and more students. It seems that the more opportunities we give students to seek help, tutoring, and remediation, the less willing some of them are to take advantage of these extra chances.
As a student at BHS, I think it's only fair that someone within the 'uppercrust' of the authority ask some of us 'kids' about what we need. There was a review written about our school being really safe- sadly, that's not true. Kids get in fights all the time. Small kids are thrown up against lockers and walls by big kids. WHEN (not if) the bomb threats come, we'll go out and sit in the same place we do everytime at the same time for the same amount of time everyday for a week. That's really safe... For some strange reason our school system does seem to find enough money to add on to the administration's (or the new coaches') paychecks but seemingly not enough to feed our students more than six walnut-sized chicken nuggets for a main course. Spirit and morale have gone WAY down since I started at BHS...

in my opinion the school has gone down lot. im a new transfer student to the school tis year, and i moved there because i heard that the shools were some of the best. but so far all i see is that the money is being used unwisely and some of the treachers should not be teaching because of the way they run their classrooms!!!!! maybe the new principle, mr. bateman can turn the the school around especially with the recent bomb threats of last year!! gavin sumner, a student
