I graduated from Wellesley High School. Please do not send your child if there are any learning disabilities, they will not get the services they need. If your child is a main stream student they will be fine.

I went to Wellesley High and when I got to college I discovered I was way ahead of alot of the freshman. Good teachers, small classes, like private school in some ways. A word of advice, I was recommended for many level 2 classes and fought the recommendation on some of them. If your child thinks they can do it, don't let them pass by the level 1, its a better quality, the kids are more motivated, the teachers are better and you can take the AP tests if you want.

Wellesley is an excellent high school, but beware that the academic focus is quite clearly on the humanities. Math and sciences tend to get shunted to the side in favor of history and English.

You can't beat Wellesley High School. Great resources and support. Acceptances to top colleges rival, or exceed, those of private schools in the area. One of the best public high schools in the country.
