I was a student for almost my entire K-12 education. I loved my time in elementary school (especially my piano lessons) and am still in contact with some of my former teachers. High school marked a huge transition for me and found myself frustrated with academics and learning, but threw myself into music and sports. My choir directors, without a doubt, changed my life. I felt that my foreign language teacher was one of the best of my entire jr.high/high school experience. My experience at MCC was a mixed bag. There were things I both hated and loved. I think that the elementary departments are superior, but junior high and high school lack in several extra-curricular & academic areas. I did not feel academically prepared once I entered college for many reasons, but hard work & dedication (outside of MCC) certainly changed that.
I am delighted to teach at Maranatha where there is an open door for Christian education and encouragement. The staff is caring and loving and consistently pour themselves out for the students. Both the Bible and the academic curriculums are challenging and superb.

My two children attended Maranatha since they were in preschool and each of them excelled. I feel their education was well worth the tuition paid. They each strove to get the best grades possible due to the high grading scale. They made many wonderful friends at Maranatha. We appreciate the caring and loving staff.

I am writing this as an observer of comments pro and con concerning MCC. We live in a world where we forget to thank people for services rendered because we expect to be served and treated well, but the minute we are not taken care of the way we think we ought to be treated we like to complain. My recommendation to complainers is that you walk in their shoes before you complain. There is no perfect place and I praise those who shared their appreciation of MCC. Our world needs more people like you.
