My experience as a parent of a child at SRMS has been more pos than neg. I am however concerned with the test scores I have seen on this site. I am concerned that my son is not getting the educational advantages that other schools in our area are receiving. I am also concerned with the lack of updates for the buildings on campus. The buildings are out dated and need many upgrades. I know that they in the process of building a new gym, but really there are many other things that need be added before the gym. For example: the trailers the kids are being taught in. But honestly over all I do feel that my son is being taught in a safe enviorment. I also feel that most of his teacher are concerned with the success of my child.

I as a student of this fine spirited school, feel there should be some changes, or shall we say minor improvements. First of all the condition of the school itself overall I give it a C++. But, I feel that we need to get this new gym thing on a roll. Because, it's just to small and overcrowded. And, our school needs to be a tad bit bigger. We, need better school supplies such as, computers, etc. And, I feel that the school has very go discipline methods such as M.I.P., and Bridge School. And, I feel that our staff is pretty outstanding. And, our principals are wonderful. Despite our faults this is a great school to be a part of. And, we have so many programs to and activities to chose from.

SRHS is a great school, however, as most do, it has its downfalls. Sure, it has outstanding teachers and a caring administration, but what is really going on underneath what spectators see? Some teachers (I'm not saying all) have poorly developed lesson plans and poor control over their class. Part of this isn't their fault. I know SRHS is a good school athletically and academically, but the teachers and administration has its downfalls.

SRHS has a very active PTSA. The teachers come early or stay late to tutor--they care. My daughter really took advantage of that and she is a top student. It has the best (students and teachers are award winners) art department in the region. The fine arts department works together well and has done fantastic musical plays for the past two years.
