When I started going to this school it was so different... but I actually enjoyed the 'freedom' that we had. Unlike being at home with someone right there we could be in our rooms to talk and we could hang out with friends. I also liked working. I learned tricks and always had something to do. The staff were all nice to me and always tried to help. I was there when the towers were hit and there were students there who had family who worked in the towers. (A lot of those kids were from NY at the time.) The staff did everything they could to comfort them. They do have their flaws, but they seem close to God and try their best. A+ for them.

This is a Christ centered school where the concerns of the spiritual growth of the students is first. The goal being that the student will see Christ as a loving friend and lifelong companion. The reason parental involvement is as low as it is , is only because the students come from all over the nation as it is a boarding school. The discipline is high but, as it is a work study program there will be areas of safety the students will be involved in that other schools will not be involved in requiring safety not only in the classroom but at work, at recreation, and in the dorm (living quarters). The school has had three of my children there for a total of ten yrs of experience that I have with this school. Like all families, (which is what the school becomes) problems can be found and overcome inChrist.
