Don Callejon has a wonderful program to support high performance in education. I do feel that the school will need to expand in years to come to accomodate the growth in our area. K - 8 needs more resources than an elementary and jr. high seperated.
As a parent I am extremely happy with the quality of education my child receives. The school is only 3 years old, and is located next to a big field in a new development called Rivermark. Each classroom is equipped with flat screen TV and computers. Support from community and parents is simply amazing. The API score for this school is getting better and better every year. Thanks to the effort of staff, teachers and volunteers.
This school is amazing. Great teachers, great food, safe area. And they have palm trees everywhere and fresh air. You could hardly see any litter on the ground, thanks to the students and the janitors. And there is high quality materials and awesome education. The teachers are so kind. And you won't have a hard time making friends.If you're in middle school it will be very easy to get straight A's. The first day you go there, you probably don't want to leave!
I am very happy with Don Callejon school. They have had many wonderful activities e.g Walk-A-thon, talent show, Christmas concert, International Night, family movie nights, that is just to name a few. They are well organized and I find the parents very involved and really care about their children. The Principal and Vice Principal are on the ball and sincerely care about the kids. My child has learned so much the past 2 yrs in both Kindergarten and 1st grade. Moving up to 1st grade was a huge transition as she had a totally different type of teacher than last year, but boy has she excelled and learned a lot in 1st grade! I am really excited about our experience at Don Callejon school!
