My daughter began attending the Primary Center in Sept. of '08. I have had nothing but a positive experience. As a parent of a preschooler, volunteering is mandatory, which is not an inconvenience since it allows parents (grandparents, aunties, uncles, etc.) view the teaching methods of the staff first hand. My daughter looked forward to my day of volunteer. The teaching staff was well organized, patient, involved and equally fair to all children and very involved with the parents. As a result, my daughter CAN READ..at 5 years old. Like any mother, I worry for my child. But never questioned my daughters safety in the school. There is only one entrance during school hours, which means anyone going in is being checked in and is checked out upon leaving. To summarize, great teaching staff, responsible office staff, great feeling of safety and supervision. A great hands on experience in your child's education.

My child began attending 4th Street Primary Center in Sept 2007 and I have nothing but great experiences to report for this school. I am able to participate by volunteering in the classroom at any given time...as a matter of fact, parent participation in the classroom and school is mandatory! The staff and teachers are caring and knowledgeable. They are patient and responsible and are very much involved in supervision and safety. I trust my child's education and well-being while at 4th Street Primary Center. He has learned so much and cannot wait to return for Kindergarden in Sept 08!

My child began attending 4th Street Primary Center this year & I am very disappointed with their policies & procedures. Children are asked to line up by their room number in the playground and wait for teachers to pick them up. After the first week parents are not allowed on the playground with their children which I am not comfortable with as my child is only 5 years old & their appears to be little supervision. I am not able to distinguish the parents from the workers. Also parents are not allowed upstairs to view the classroom. How am I as a parent supposed to be at ease when I do not know where my child's classroom is, where she is child sitting & where my child is going to the restroom? I realize this is a new center and there are some kinks to work out but really. I think this is a bit much.
