When my oldest daughter was elementary age, Meade Park was a failing school under the previous principal. He moved to the middle school (Southview), which then began failing. Meade Park was taken over by Alice Payne, who began putting it on the right track. My youngest daughter loves the school, looks forward to going to school every day. She has held a straight 'A' average since her first day and has had 12 consecutive high honor awards. She is an avid reader thanks in part to the teachers at Meade Park, the only subject that she sometimes has difficulty in is Math, however the teachers work hard to help her understand. I attribute her success to great teachers, good communication with parents, and a firm but fair Administrator in Ms. Payne.
