Unfortunately, I am not pleased with my oldest son's education thus far at Whittemore Elementary. His teacher continues to 'look' for solutions instead of 'teaching.' Much of my concern lies within the evolution of the testing mandates that schools are under. There is way too much pressure for our kids to 'meet' expectations. They should be encouraged to enjoy the wonders of education NOT be made to feel like they are a number or a score. Consequently, this has affected the ability for teachers to teach children because they are so overly concerned about where their class lies on a bar graph.
