Used to go there. Im in JGMS now it was pretty good I guess good teachers, but we never got much freedom, no desserts ever at lunch, and when not with whole class were told explicitly to go from point A to point B with no stops in between. Always felt pretty safe their but once in second grade a Kindergartener brought in a live grenade and we went on lockdown. its a pretty good school.
I am totally impressed with this School . Both the Principal and Assistant Principal are really efficient and both of them are really involved with each individual child's developement . The School really encourages Parent involvement in the class and all the School activities. The school really encourages the kids to read and to improve their Math . Some of the 2nd grade classes did a research on human body and they did a wonderful presentation on what they learned infront of the parents.I think these kind of activities improves the kid's presentation skills at a younger age . The Schools PTA is excellent and I don't have words to explain how wonderful their effort to hep the school . And the town has a great after school program run by the recreation department .
my 2 kids go here & it's excellent. My high expectations have been met. New principal who is as good as the old one. School is extremely well-run & safe. School renovated only a few years ago - great bldg, library, and playground. Organized curriculum. All teachers are great & responsive to different needs, from the brighter to the developmentally delayed kids. Offers foreign language b/4 school on a lottery basis. Welcomes parental involvement (strong PTA group). Bedford's Rec Dept. Town is fantastic. Since last year, school has been testing 2 combo classrooms (mix of 1st & 2nd graders).
