Many of these comments lack specifics - to say a high school has cliques, kids tease each other, or that your child has trouble because of low self-esteem...these comments can probably appy to every high school in the country. Overall, I've been very pleased with Canton schools and my child got an excellent education and went on to a top college. Parents should stop expecting the world from a public school and take responsibility for their child's education.

It seams like every year I become more dissapointed with the high school. This year I was very upset to find out that the school is only offering spanish as a foreign language, especially knowing that the middle school also offers french, and it would be much more of a benefit to high school students. students also are rewarded by other students for doing drugs and do not take pride in their education. This school is not awful, but I would have expected it to be a lot better.
For a small, government run school district it's not bad. In the High School - english and foreign language departments are weak. Science, math and instrumental music are good. No drama department.

The high school is the weakest part of the school system.. everything up to it was great, but the high school struggles. Students are unbelievably 'clique-y' which is not very comforting for those not included- which is a fair amount. Teachers, in academics as well as on the sports fields, often choose favorites which can be hurtful as well. The facilities are decent, but not so great. Music program and sports are the school's strength but the academics and social aspects lack horribly.
