Wow! I could cry that we are moving out of this district. My daughter has had an awesome year. Her teacher has made learning fun so my daughter's reading has improved exponentially, her fellow students are good kids & the PTO is strong. From my observation, the principal seems to know each child by name and makes a point to speak to them. This is a great school!
My daughter attended boonsboro after having a bad experience with a teacher at a school in a different district. Boonsboro was incredible. The teachers were warm, receptive and very effective, skilled teachers. The principal was always available and interacted much in a positive way with the children. All of the staff, from teachers, the principal, custodial staff, cafeteria staff, librarians, music teachers, office staff... All of them were great and we never had any bad experience with boonsboro elementary. You can feel it in the atmosphere when you walk in the school. We highly recommend this school. We paid tuition for our child to attend because we live in the city of lynchburg---it was worth every penny!
I have two boys in the school and five years of involvement with Boonsboro Elementary School. The staff and faculty s professionalism and enthusiasm delight me. The school has an excellent focus on the children and portrays a great balance between compassion, flexibility, and maintaining an effective learning environment. The children also have excellent recreational opportunities through the school's involvement with the County's voluntary sports association.
My daughter began Kindergarten last year, and could read at age five. Her school is great because the staff are great. I was aware of every aspect of my child's education. They highly encourage parental involvement, and are friendly, up to date, and knowledgeable. My daughter has been exposed to a great big world of learning, and she is like a sponge!!
