Great school. I am an active parent/volunteer at this school. When reading other reviews, I saw the negative one re: bullying. While I am sure there are some problems in every school--any problem brought to the staff of this school is taken serious and investigated. My children love it. I did much investigation into the academics and curriculum of all schools in the area--public and private and this school is the best. The staff is top notch, the diversity only adds to the great quality. I guess this is why this school was chosen one of the 2 blue ribbon elementary schools for the entire state of Georgia for having the highest quality and the best test scores. You can't go wrong here!!!!

Great school, great staff and active parents. Visited every school in Rome area, including private--this was the best--bar none!!

This is one of the best schools in NW GA. EC prepared my children well for middle and high school; academics are top-notch and the gifted program is superb. The student body is extremely diverse, since the school draws from some of the wealthiest and poorest areas of Rome, but this can be a strength in that students learn how to get along with their peers. I only wish the Arts program were more fully supported. While my child was there, Art was dropped in favor of Music, but there was not enough interest to sustain an extracurricular Chorus program. However, the Rome Band program is one of the best in the state; 6th graders here get a great start.

this school system is very bad.they have no idea of the trouble going on in these schools. my child comes home from school almost every day crying and she always has a story to tell about being bullied or mistreated by other students. other parents may disagree but i have a child who wishes she didn't have to go to school because of there poor ability to catch bad students in the classroom. they do notice students doing wrong on bus' and in the hall but in the classroom, where much of the bullying goes on, this is not taken care of, students bully others in the hall sometimes too.
