This school year has been such a blessing in so many ways I do not know exactly where to begin. When I was investigating Beth Eden under difficult circumstances it was wonderful to find everyone extremely kind and helpful in every way. I have been impressed from the start and will always recommend your school to other parents. Every day my son is smiling and happy and knows how much he is loved, and at the end of the dat that is all that matters. I am thankful each day for all of the blessings Beth Eden has brought into our lives. I also wanted to tell you how impressed I am with the qualify of the education, the kindness of the staff, and the beautiful spirit that fills the air.
I also do not like to have to post poor reviews about the school but, we have been attended BE for 6 yrs and it has gone downhill very quickly this year. The teachers have and do treat the children differantly depending whether you are classified a 'good family' There is definitely favoritism among teachers and segregation among students. I am looking for a new school. My child has great potential and I don't think he/she can acheive high standards here. It is obvious the teachers are working against the admin. However there are a few teachers that should have thrown in the hat a long time ago regardless of whether they were male or female.
We have been involved with this school since 1994. During those years, there have been many leadership changes. What has been consistent is the school's diligence in pursuing academic excellence. This year, 1/3 of the graduating class has been accepted at a prestigious Colorado university and most of the others will pursue degrees elsewhere. We feel that Beth Eden is the only choice for our family and strongly encourage other parents to visit and pray about the possibility of enrolling their children.
This school is in transition. The new principal has specific plans - altho the benefit of those plans are not obvious to all. Some new decisions seem random at best. The school does excel at academics, and the fine arts are ok (not outstanding), but freedom and personal expression are not appreciated here, making students ill-prepared for decisions they'll need to make when someone isn't there telling them what to do and how to do it. As a parent, I have personally witnessed poor decisions by the principal and sometimes even inaction in very questionable, even serious, circumstances. I've also witnessed unfair and uncaring treatment of students and teachers - many of whom won't be returning next year.
