This is a great small school. The classes are small so the children get great individual help. However it is a very small rural school so there are not a lot of school sponsored extracurricular activities available. It is obvious that this school receives very little funding assistance as there is very little new equipment such as computers in the classrooms. One classroom from an average sized northern Virginia school has more technology equipment than this school. But Rich Valley is one of the most friendliest schools I have ever been in. The teachers care and do the best they can with the supplies available. The ladies in the cafeteria know every student by name. It is always clean. A couple of first year teachers with fifth grade classes (maybe a fourth grade class) need a little more experience to get caught up to the quality of the veteran teachers. Overall it is a great school that I feel is also a safe school for children.
