Edgewood has made such great strides in the past 5 years! From a 'D' School to an 'A' school - and finally making AYP. The staff is caring and concerned; the administration truly cares about the kids and their lives.
I am a teacher at Edgewood Academy. We are officially now an 'A' school for the 08/09 school year. This school has completely turned around with a lot of hard work from the fantastic staff that we have, and excellent leadership from our wonderful principal and assistant principal. Edgewood is a school full of technology for all of our students. We have 6 computers in every classroom, 2 computer labs, a smartboard in every classroom, and Senteo responders for each student. Our school would benefit even more if we had more involvement from parents. I highly recommend Edgewood Academy for your child. It's the best elementary school in the Lee County 'East Zone'...
Edgewood has come a long way. The scores show it. If there was more parent involvement the students and the school would benefit more
