I'm a student, And I have to say, I got in a lot of fights at Dunbar Middle. It is not a safe school.
I love Dunbar Middle. I recently switched to Canterbury School, and I really do regret it. They have a great gifted program that really challenged me. I miss my friends and I want to go back! Miss you guys!!! :(
I can't imagine how PLDMS has only a '7' Great School Rating when its quite apparent its by far the best school for academically gifted children because they are pushed in all subjects. I can't imagine Cypress Middle getting a '9' great school rating when my son who attended both schools always found PLDMS a lot more diffcult academically than Cypress Lake Middle, where he would get A's with a minimum of effort.... go figure.
I am a student, 6th grader at this school at I absolutley love Dunbar. I was a staright A student in elementary school, but that was a school where I wasnt challenged enough. When I moved to Dunbar in Advanced classes and in Pre Algebra with 15 other students, my grades have gone down, but that only tells me that I am being challenged. This is a very good school and if your a parent reading this, I highly recommend you to enroll your child into this school.
