My daughter has been in this school since the middle of the year of Kindergarten, and she will be going into thrid grade as of 2008-2009 school year. I was extreamly impressed with the school then, and with the principal (mrs. Cuningham) at the time, as it was an A school, had careing teachers, small classroom size, and took education more seriously compared to the Orange county school my daughter came from, but as of last school year, when the new Principal took over I've been non stop disapointed. there is no more art classes, the principal seems absolutely clueless of whats going on. I've met and spokent o him several times, and not once has he remebered who i am, where as the former principal remembered me after meeting her only once. after seeing the test scores now I feel even more disapointed. its time to transfer to Eustis Elementary.

If I could give this school no stars, believe me, I would!! My child began attending this school and within one day...I am done! I have begun the process of extracting him from EHES. The children are cruel and run the halls like wild boars. They taunt children different from themselves and the adults overlooking them do not step in. There is perhaps one adult to every 40-50 children and the behavior shows this. I am absolutely appalled at the lack of discipline and manors displayed here. If you can avoid it...please do not send your child here, you'll thank me for it now, and your child will thank YOU for it later.

Eustis Heights Elementary School has been a godsend for my child. He tested gifted in the 1st grade and we moved him from another local school in the area to the gifted program at Eustis Heights. On the first day of school at EHES, he said he felt 'free'. He no longer was stuck in a classroom where he had already mastered the curriculum and he was able with the help of two Nationally Board Certified teacher, able to truly work at his own pace. As a third grader, at the beginning of the school year, he tested at the 5th grade level in mathematics. After just one year in this program, he improved to 12th grade mathematical concepts. A child like my son needs special people to meet his needs. Thanks to his brilliant teachers and supportive administration, he is a happy, healthy thriving ten year old boy.
