I have 2 boys at Midland...one in 3rd grade and one in 1st. The boys love it. We love the small class sizes and that our boys can be in an environment where being Christian is cool!

Spirituality: Conservative Christian values. Good to very good spiritual values shown by all the staff. Chapel services for all the students. Lots of religious/spiritual activities available to the high-schoolers. Excellent church support from area churches. Academics: Superb academics for a relatively-small school. Yes, there are area schools with better academics, but our students do very well on SATs and most go on to college. Previous graduates that have gone on to college have performed very well. I am very confident that my kids are receiving a more-than-adequate life preparation. Sports: Interschool basketball, volleyball and baseball. Lots of intramurals. Social: My kids have easily adjusted to the school community. As always, there will be some who have a tougher time adjusting, but overall my kids love it at Midland. I would like to thank Mr. Kruger and the entire staff at Midland for their hard work and dedication in providing my kids with a solid christian education!

ENGLISH-When you graduate from highschool at MAA, college English seems to be a breeze. So many kids come back and thank Mrs. Young for teaching them how to write. COMMUNITY SERVICE-MAA has a servants attitude and the students learn to help others. Each year they encourage students to participate in a mission trip. The children who went this year came home realizing how fortunate they really are. FAMILY FEEL-Everyone at MAA knows each other. The elementary school kids are able to get encouragement and leadership from their older classmates and the highschool kids learn responsibility and patience. The teachers love these kids and the kids know it. It is refreshing. PARENT INVOLVEMENT-As a parent, you can be as involved as you want to be. Parent volunteers help in Home and School, hot lunch program, library, fundraising, special classroom projects, teacher appreciation week, etc.

My son has attended Midland since the first grade, with the exception of his freshman year. That one year away was enough for both this parent and student to realize that while nothing is perfect, this school has above average teachers, students and involved parents. The curriculum is standard - if the kids don't learn it is not because of the efforts of the teachers or the quality of the curriculum. The teachers bend over backwards to be available to students needing extra assistance. Sports are limited - there is no football, much to our dismay, and no golf or swim team. There is basketball and girl's volleyball, intramurals, drama, and a good (and improving) music program. We think this school is a very well kept secret.
