If your child has a learning disability, this school is not a good choice. They do not have a good special ed program for kid with disabilities in the high school. They have some teachers who are willing to go the extra mile before, after school and during lunch to help kids who struggle, but if they had a sucessful program to begin with this would not be necessary. I can not recommend this school for kids with Learning Disabilities. Kids who have problems are also bullied really badly. The school is now starting to listen to us parents trying to fix the problem.

Still do not have a good program for kids with learning disabilities. I'm pulling my kid out for the summer and putting them in another school district for summer school. Fremont doesn't have summer school.

As far as kids with special needs...Fremont Public Schools is trying to to make changes, but they are still not up to par. They need a program tailored to kids with learning disabilities that will provide more one on one learning and still allow the child to receive a high school diploma. Many of the kids can do it they just need more help. I would not recommend FPS if your child has a learning disability...the bodies are just not available for the support. They have very good intensions and teachers that are willing...but that's about as far as it goes. I had to hire private tutors to get my kids through. It shouldn't be that way.

Fremont is a small town and gossip spreads fast. Fremont also has alot of school spirt, and the teachers are pretty cool. You choose your classes and teachers so you can find a teacher that teaches the way that matches your learning abilities most. We also have a new principal this year, and he does a great job, he does alot to make students care and participate more. But overall its a good school
