I go to Clay high school and I love it. All of my teachers have been nothing but supportive and intensely intersted in my academic career. I even had a teacher call my house to make sure I was ok when he thought I wasn't myself in class that day. When looking at SAT scores Clay has the highest in the area, because if you are willing to learn this school has educators more than willing to nurture your talents. What few problems Clay has I feel are a direct result of the parenting and culture of these students. Even if a student does not have passing ISTEP scores, it is apparent that she is a compassionate person through activities such as helping hands, the canned food drive, and kindness shown to the students with disabilities. I would suggest anyone going to Clay enter the AP program for the best academics.
I have two children that are juniors at Clay and I would recommend this school to any parent. All schools have their issues if you look. Their are a couple teachers that are there to just do a job but most of the teachers and staff really care and will go the extra mile to help any student that needs it. With that being said it's not the schools job to be the kids parents. If the parents don't get involved and help the school and their child then what do you expect to happen. I don't agree with every policy the school has but I do understand they are doing one of the hardest jobs on the planet with little resources. The acedemics and after school programs are there if the parents and kids what to use them.

Hi, I currently attend clay high school and I must admit that Clay has its problems, but I know that if I went to a school with no problems, I would be completetly unprepared for my life ahead. As far as people switching their kids to different schools because of disiplinary problems, obviously the parents should be a little more conncerned about how to handle their kids themselves, let alone send them somewhere for someone else to handle them. And if your strong enough to hang out with the right people and not let yourself fall into pressure, you will learn many valuable lessons at clay.

I loved going to this school cause i got the most help i needed here then at any other high school most people say this school is a bad school but like any other school a school year is what you our your Student make it. The academic programs here are cool, the arts and sports for the extracurricular activities are nice to football was and still is my favorite extracurricular activities. All i have to say is you make you high school exasperates what you make it jest cause other people are being studied don t mean you have to be, and just cause people are being studied don t make the school its self bad
