I agree that the teachers and staff are great. I, however, do not share the enthusiasm for the Principal. Not only is she lacking in leadership, I think she spends her time hiding out between the two campuses. She needs to retire and allow some fresh, new enthusiastic talent to take over!! She never takes responsibility for her own shortcomings and mistakes. This school is just average. I think the parents that rated it it higher have never had kids in any other school and have nothing to compare it to. My older two attended other Texas schools as well as schools in other states that were much better than this school.
The academics on this campus is above the starte recommended and they keep excelling. My child has leaned so much more here than his other school. The office staffs are excellent at their jobs and make you feel welcome when you enter the building
Excellent school! My oldest daughter went to Ms. Jewell last year and my youngest is attending Fairview this year and their teachers are excellent! We are a military family, and due to a parent being deployed my daughter missed a lot of days of school last year. We were told that if there was an absence because of a deployed family member, they would not be counted against the student. But the principal still wouldn't let my daughter attend because of her absences, which were because her father is deployed. Other than that, everything about the staff/school is awesome!
My children went to Miss Jewell for 2 years and I had several problems with 2 teachers and the problems were not taken care of the way I would have liked to have seen! Excuses were made for their behavior! We're just gratefull that our children have moved on to the next grade level and don't have those 2 teachers anymore!! The other teachers and staff were great! Just a couple of bad 'apples'
