Town and Country was a major disappointment. The classrooms are crowded, with discipline problems. The teachers try, but with the overcrowding and lack of parent involvement, their hands are somewhat tied. The principal seems overwhelmed, but tries. The school is dreary, but it is maintained to the minimal standards. Our children scored top marks, but that is no indication of a good education. This school is suffering from the same problems of all the schools in this area (to include the charter schools), so it really can't be singled out. More money doesn't always mean a better education, but it was very apparent that schools are not a priority in the community. If you want a quality education, there are a couple of good schools in Tucson. The commute may be long, but it will be worth it if you really need to work in Sierra Vista.

I love this school! The PTO hosts a family day each month. The teachers are friendly, and the Character Counts program is really impressive. My only complaint would be that I have offered to volunteer at the school many times, and have never been invited to help out. Also, my child's teacher is nice, but sadly doesn't challenge my child. We are forced to supplement at home.
