I have 2 children at Oakland Elementary, and I love it. All of the teachers we have had have been great, and there is so much parent involvement. Highly recommended.
This is our second year at Oakland Elementary and we love it. Do not hesitate to enroll your children in the school. My only complaint is I do not feel the PTA communicates it's needs well to the parents.
We are new to the school this year and so far I am very pleased with the teachers, academics, safety issues,and the genuine concern the staff has for my children. It is schools like Oakland Elementary that will help to give South Carolina schools a better reputation!
The school, from the principal, assistant principal, and the teachers really work in partnership with the parents. You can tell that they really care about their students, and not just academically. They are equally concerned about building character and promoting good citizenship within the community. My children loved their time there and were sad to leave the elementary school. Both got a great educational foundation which has helped them continue their academic success.
