We moved here from another state and selected our home based on the school SOL scores. Back Creek has excellent teachers and involved parents. The PTA can be a bit overbearing for those of us with both parents working full-time.
We were very disappointed with this school. We were excited for our 1st child's Kindergarten year that turned out to be a very unsatisfying and confusing, especially for our child.
My dautgher started this school just this year and we were very nervous about what to expect. We love this school. They are very helpful and understanding. She had ms. Turner and she is the best. She is so patient and kind. She is very involed with her students and her parents. She keeps you up to date with what is going on in the classroom. We could no have asked for a better teacher and hop we are lucky enough to have her with our other two children that will be going there in the years to come.
This is the finest and highest rated elementary school in the Roanoke Valley. We moved from a good school district in California 4 years ago, and we found out that Back Creek was way ahead in level of learning, teacher dedication and parent participation.
