My son was diagnosed last year (kindergarten) on the autism spectrum. He had a rough time of it last year at another school in Parsippany. This year is different. He is at Rockaway Meadow in an autistic class, but pulled out for many classes with the general first grade. The teachers are very supportive and the before&after care program is also very supportive (we had to pull him out of that last year). The support is very friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, I feel that this school conveys a warm, friendly and nurturing environment. The faculty is great and I feel very welcome when I visit. My son is enjoying himself, is making some friends and I know longer feel like he is an outcast.

I have three children in this school and it is better than all private schools in and around the area.

You need younger teachers who are excited to teach- too many teachers burnt out and rough on children.
