We moved there last year at the beginning of the school year and the entire school welcomed my children with open arms. Unfortunately, we had to move again and their new school was nothing like BSE, so much that I have now pulled them out to homeschool them. I wish ALL schools were like BSE. They put the students' well-being first and were truly dedicated.
BSE is a wonderful school everything is about learing. BSE doesn't want student's to be left out. I have seen alot of improvement with my girl's. The teacher's are so concering to the student's to be sucessful. This is in all school subjects. Thanks for all of your hard work.
We love the Bonner Springs Elementary school. Not everything is perfect, but where do you find that? We have one child with ADHD & ODD, and he has had wonderful teachers and the Vice Principal, Mrs. Mitchell has been right there when we've had problems. Our other child is one who wants to please everyone and does wonderful. I have been around the staff quite often through volunteering and I am very pleased overall with how well they do. The kids are important to them.
BSE provided amazing learning opportunities for both of my boys. My youngest has autism and was included in every aspect of his school. He was a student first who just happened to learn differently. He had access to ALL the available activities his general education peers participated in. He is now a middle school student. BSE educators with the support of the special education team prepared my son to step into middle school. His autism is very significant, behaviorially and his is academically well below his peers yet he is a student who was valued for his strengths and gifts. His brother went from needing LD services and reading on a 1st grade level in 3rd grade to now reading on the 10th grade level in the 8th grade and receiving gifted services. As a military family we have experience many schools BSE is the best and we would highly recommend.
