Long Beach Senior High School

I wish I had a better understanding of where this comment ['I have 4 children in this district and have dealt with many teachers. It is my experience the teachers exaggerate circumstances to prove their points....my advice is know your children. Do not trust the guidance counselors to do their job....' ]is coming from. In my short tenure as principal (since June, 2002), I have not found this to be the case nor have I heard anyone else espose this sentiment.

I am a senior at long beach high school and i have a 89 average. To start here Grading policy is terrible, there is at least 1 fight everyday, Classes are 27-30 students to a class room, the deans in the school are horrible they are to harsh on the little problems and not harsh enough on the bigger ones, the teachers are intolerable, stubborn and stuck up.These are not even half the problems. Over all terrible school. would advise you to send your child to a catholic school. May be more money but your child will get a better education somewhere else other then long beach high school

i would have to rate this school 4 stars. the last 6 generations of my family have all went there and i have 2 brothers and sisters that have graduated and my grandmother even taught there for over 20 years. i think the long beach high school is great and gets better and better each year! :) go bulldogs!!

I have to rate this school 4 stars. My one student graduated and is doing well in college, my other is a senior and is doing well academically. I have thoughts about the athletics. I believe that athletics are designed to aid one in working with others to achieve a goal. The goal is group or team success. I don't believe that the teams success should come at the expense of the indivual student. All varsity members should be mentioned in the newspaper when information about the entire team is written by the coach. It usually is not and that does much harm to the stuent not mentioned. When a varsity member is not mentioned, irrepairable harm can be don to their psyche. The coach should be smart enough to know that. or they shouldn't be a coach.
