We have recently relocated to the area and are very happy with Powell. This was my daughters first year of school and her kindergarden teacher was the Best. I am really going to miss her. She made my daughter feel welcome and comfortable! She has become very confident in all aspects. I feel our family made a great decision by sending our child to this school, and very lucky to have had Mrs. Harris for her kindergarden teacher!
I am a parent of an autistic child and I found the school environment was not suitable for special needs children--to be fair I do not feel that public schools are equipped to meet the specific needs that these children require.
The teachers are fantastic and the secretary has always come across as helpful and pleasant, but the principal I dealt with was incredibly rude and cold. She was much to busy to answer questions and seemed annoyed that someone was taking up her time. -Kathy Garringer
