We have had three kids in the schools over 15 years. The quality of the teachers has been very good, and the administrators work with you to help steer your children to the best teachers. Is it perfect? Well, no school is. But the administration is always willing to work through issues.

I currently attend OCHS and would have to say that the school is a good enough school academicly. They offer a lot of different AP courses and electives and they have very well qualified teachers. The social part of the school is horrible! There are so many cliques at this school and if you are not rich you are not going to be 'popular'. The clubs are basicly controled by the cliques. The same groups joins the same clubs and they never mix.
Oconee County is a good school academically and I'm glad I am here for the academics. The only problem in Oconee in general, living 14 years here and 3 in other states, I have discovered that a lot of the problems here are with the students. They are crude and go into the typical cliques of high school. Oconee is bad for it because of how expensive it is. Most of the kids are rich and they don't accept others that are not like them. But overall the schools are really great.
