I appreciate the honesty of the parent's comment. I apologize for not returning this parent's call. I do try to return all parents' phone calls, but with 700 students sometimes oversights occur. I encourage this parent to contact me again and set up an appointment to discuss their concerns with me. Iddings staff is concerned about students' academics. We also realize that students' learn material at different rates. Many of our classroom teachers have included enrichment and remediation activities in the academic areas to help with this concern. I am currently working with our Continuous Improvement Council to develop a Focused Instruction Time weekly to also help in this academic area. This program will start in the 2004-2005 School Year.

I agree with the majority of the other parents. My family is new to this state, no one at the school (not even the secretary) took time to explain things. The academic standards do not meet those of the school which my chid came from. When I asked about my child being challenged, it was addressed with disregard. The teachers do cover up when they are wrong. They focus so much on discipline, very militant, and systematic as if they're not dealing with children but robots-if they focused more on educational enhancement I think it'd be okay.Wish I'd known about this site before enrolling my child because now I'm looking for a different school. If you're considering Iddings, first try Sauk or a private school.

I strongly agree with the other mother the principal and teachers like to cover up when their in the wrong. I have confrontred the principal and the teacher about problems that was going on they turned their head. So good luck at this school!

My daughter was a transfer student from a top notch district in a different state. When she was a student here, her grades dropped big time, because she had already been through the same material the year before we came to the area. The school district is behind the rest of the US in education. Simply put, my child was bored and the principal and the teachers did not seem to care.
