As a former student and now the parent of a 4th grade student there I have been pleased with the principal interaction with students as well as the teachers performance. This year Runyan will have a new principal and somethings will change. I can only hope that those changes will enhance the quality of education for all students. Due to my work schedule I was not able to participate in all the student/teacher/parent activities but I did participate when I could. I would like to see more parent involvement because I believe the more involved the parents are in the child's education the child will perform better. For years now since the 'No Child Left Behind' act came into being the teachers have not been allowed to teach. I believe that the teachers should be allowed to teach and that learning should be fun and seem like a jail sentence.
