I have four children that have attended Charles Street School and all four have suffered from bullying and extreme stress, not just from other peers, but from teachers as well. This is something I have personally witnessed, not just stories from my kids. There are a handful of teachers that are extremely gifted and wonderful, I just wish there were more. Currently, two children attend another school and have excelled; unfortunately 2 children still attend and I am now looking for another school for them to go to. Nothing breaks a mother's heart more than to see the light within their child go dim because of what they have to endure in an environment meant to nurture them and help them to grow up to be productive young adults.
I think the teachers at Charles St. are exceptional. They really care about their students and communicate well with the parents. The diversity at this school is great! There is a tremendous amount of parent participation for everything that goes on here.
