I was a 1962 gradute from Palmyra High School. I have watched the school system grow to what it is today. My daughter was born with a learning problem, the school system allowed her to attend all 12 years and let her graduate with the other students. My wife a I will never forget what they did for us. The teachers were very professional, they had time to help my daughter. Today the Palmyra School is the best school system in Northeast Missouri. The staff does everthing they can to provide for the students. The school has everything needed to get a good education. The students take pride in the school, they have severl scholarships available to them, the students that get them turn out to be a credit to the community, they have a good profession and help in different organizations to better it. The sports programs are something to very proud of,the students play their hearts out to be a winner, but also they learn what it is to lose, that it's not the end of the world. The students do several project thru out the year to help the city and county. The Palmyra school system is the best. Anyone wanting a superior or excellent education needs to come to the Palmyra High School at Palmyra, Mo to get it.

I was a student at this school and am currently a teacher in another area. As a teacher I have had the opportunity to see many kinds of schools of many different sizes, and can honestly say that, for the size of PHS, it is an excellent school. There are not many high schools of this size throughout the state that offer as many academic and athletic extracurricular activities as Palmyra does. Also, the teachers are great. They are highly educated and, for the most part, have the students' best interests in mind. Palmyra High School did an excellent job preparing me for college. There is also a lot of parental and community support, which can make a huge difference. I would be happy to send my children to Palmyra High School if I ever moved back to the area.
