I feel that the quality of the education offered at Banks JR. High is at a good level. the only real problem I have is that parents association seems to be almost nonexistent, except for some names on the web site and in the school directory.
i attend banks junior high, and i think its great. i grew up here, and their support is fantastic. the elementary has plenty of help for disabled kids, which makes it possible to achieve almost anything. the middle school, which i am in now, has great sport programs and professional coaches. its also great because it's so tiny, where everybody knows your name. feels like family.
I feel that Banks is over all a good school, but as all schools do there has been some problems with some students. My prospective on the homework is that the teachers do their best to E-mail the parents as much as posible which has helped!The teachers have been very helpful with my student in meeting her goals and giving help were it is needed!I all ways felt my child was very safe and I always felt welcome.
There are a few terrific teachers at this school. Unfortunately this school LACKS adequate leadership ability. Often times it is difficult to decipher which individuals are teachers and which are students due to the extreme lack of control regarding the dress code policy. Several of the adults working at this school are extremely poor examples. The great thing is the fact that there are other schools and we are transferring our 7th grader mid year per her request. What Banks Middle School really does not understand is the fact that their parent base are their customers and if they do not treat their parents respectfully and involve them in their childs academic progress Banks Middle School will continue to have students transfer out on a regular basis due to frustrated parents!
