Unfortunately, it's true that overcrowding is an issue at this school. The school was originally designed for about 2200 students. Portables have been added to accommodate the increase, but while that provides more classroom space the cafeteria, gyms, and quad remain the same. Simply getting lunch becomes a major ordeal. As a result LnHS has gone to a double lunch, but because of the confusing block schedule some classes are split in half. Many students end up with first lunch one day and second lunch the next. Furthermore, the focus on test scores in core subjects has led to a complete lack of vocational classes. This district's focus on college prep leaves no options for the vast majority of students who don't go on to a four-year institution.

This is a good school. Good mix of students. Teachers and staff are wonderful. Principal is outstanding. Has had some issues in the past but the environment now is very good. I enjoy the school as well as my student.

its an ok school but i would much rather go to quartz hill high.this schools ain problem is that there are too many people and they use block scheduling. its the most confusing thing you will ever see and the classes are 2 hours long with 3 classes a day and the classes alternate each day . it makes it really hard to keep track of assignments
