I just started this school last sumester and the teachers dont care if u pass or not. I hate this school.

I graduated from New Hanover High in 2005 and am now in my senior year of college at NC State University in Raleigh. I can say without a doubt that NHHS is the main reason I have had such a successful college career. I originally started out as a freshman from Ashley High and immediately transferred my second semester due to the inattentive and biased staff at that school. That trade saved me. I was able to find a true community at Hanover. The diversity is absolutely amazing and the school spirit is unlike any other school in the county. Because the school is enriched in history and pride, students graduate knowing that they have had the true high school experience. If you are a parent who is searching for the best school for your child, I high recommend NHHS!

I would say this school is unique in that it gives the student a direction to go in after they graduate.

Hew Hanover is a wonderful school! My daughter attends this school with much confidence. She has had trouble throughout her previous years in the public school system due to a severe reading disability. New Hanover has really given her the opportunity to thrive! The lifeskills teachers really do show genuine concerns about their students both in and out of school.I would recommend New Hanover to other parents that have children with specific learning disabilities!!
