Howard Elementary School

My son is in his first year at Howard and I feel the principal and the staff go out of their way to help teach my son. I admit that i had my reservations at first because it is an older school but i've been very satisfied with the school overall.

I can't say enough good things about the principal and staff at Howard. It is a very loving environment, but also has discipline. More parents need to spend time volunteering. Schools need help from the parents.

I am not a parent but a grandparent. My granddaughter has gone to Howard for 4 years and I can not say enough about how great the school is. Mrs. Swafford cares about the children and could not have been more caring. My granddaughter has a disability and we know that she is in the best environment that we could have ever chosen. The teachers have been great and having been a first grade teacher myself I feel that I am a good judge of a school. I have no complaints about any of the employees or staff. Thank you, Howard School.

My son is a first year student at Howard and I am very pleased with the school and its staff. I am not zoned for Howard but have chosen to complete an out of zone request. I went to eat lunch with him a couple of times and was very impressed that Principal Swafford spoke to each child she saw and called them by name. I have always been invited to attend school activities and have routinely seen other parents at school activities as well. The dedication of the teachers and their commitment to our children is outstanding. My son has learned so much and is excited to go to school each day. I cannot say enough about Howard Elementary and all those who work there.
