The teachers and the principal are truly succeeding at providing an excellent learning environment. They want to teach and help children find their way through complete learning.

HKC is comparatively one of the better schools in the county. There is a wide mix of socioeconomic classes. The teachers we have experienced in the past four years seem to be very in tuned to the children's needs, and communicating with parents when initiated. They have many programs and activities for children and families, though I personally have found it difficult to gain information to be involved in the PTA, but there is an active PTA at the school. The office staff are friendly and helpful. The school is a little old, and hopefully will be renovated soon, but functional, and clean--the mold was quickly and appropriately taken care of after perfectly logical rationale regarding its growth--construction during the hot summer months--the staff encourage ID passes--it is posted, and the parents should follow this request to promote everyone's safety.--overall, it's a four, I think. My kids like it too.

Hugh k Cassell is not a bad school. The teachers seam to be nice and helpful in most areas. The princaple is okay, sometimes she will give you a run around and speak as if your a child yourself. I feel that the safty could be better at the school. You can often find persons wandering around with out badges or id. This school was also found to have a mold problem that was taken care of. Parent seam to be very involved. This school provides the children with many thing to do extracuuiculary.
